Sheree Brown

Sheree Brown is a singer, ASCAP award winning songwriter, musician, and Emmy nominated producer. She began her career as a rhythm & blues and pop recording artist on the Capitol Records label in the early eighties. While on the label she penned all of the songs from her, Straight Ahead and The Music albums.

Sheree released her Messages From The Soul...The Power of Music new album and book project which celebrates the profound bond between artist and audience, paying tribute to the listeners who have embraced Sheree’s work and left an indelible mark on her journey.

At a time when the world is in need of upliftment, the album stands as a sonic beacon of hope, encouragement, and inspiration. Featuring original compositions, with writing contributions from Grammy-nominated songwriter, producer and artist Patrice Rushen, Marcus Pettit, Sheree’s daughter MayaNicol and son Revels, alongside a striking new ‘House’ mix of the original track “Power” by songwriter, producer, musician, and engineer Steve Barry Cohen from Lake Transfer Productions.

On 3rd July 2026, Sheree released the bilingual re-release of “I Am You and You Are Me (Tu Eres Yo)” via Expansion Records, a reimagining of the standout track from Messages From The Soul...The Power of Music. The duet features powerhouse vocalist Jessica Ortiz, who lends her voice to the Spanish verses and translated the lyrics to ensure the song’s essence remained intact across languages. The release is a tribute to the strength and accomplishments of women worldwide, with Sheree describing the collaboration as a celebration of “HERstory” and the kindred spirit found in female collaboration. Designed to foster unity and celebrate the universal bond of sisterhood, the song invites listeners to embrace the “other” as themselves.
